“IF IT FEELS GOOD, DO IT.”
How often have we heard that quote and thought ‘yeah ok, I will. But first I have to clear out the cupboard, get on with the ironing, write a boring presentation…(add here whatever usual monotonous stuff you have to do daily) and then that ‘feel good’ stuff gets pushed to the side! You see, having fun or doing something you love just for the hell of it is, isn’t seen as the done thing is it? Why not!?
Doing stuff we like is usually seen as a treat or saved for special occasions, we don’t often think we can – or should -do the things we love just for the sake of it. I love dancing (really?) singing and eating chocolate among many other things but I don’t do them enough (well…maybe that doesn’t relate to the chocolate bit 😋) and after having had a really relaxed, chilled out birthday with my girls and Stressed Husband yesterday, I have decided I’m not getting any younger (ok, the treatments help!) and so, I want to do more of what I love without feeling guilty of spending time doing them! There. That’s my two penn’orth worth for the day. 😁
