Take 2 – Fabulous Skin Serums

The title to this post was originally going to be – My Favourite Products For A Frozen Face – and then spring sprang in February, so it doesn’t sound quite as fitting. But I still need you to know about these serums which definitely kept my skin feeling its best during the colder months and which are staying put on my shelves whatever the weather…

First up is my favourite serum which I have written about before and you can read that review here. Caudalie Premier Cru Serum looks wonderful, feels fantastic on the skin and is a warrior at protecting against free radical damage from the environment. It is packed full of potent ingredients such as grape antioxidants, one of my favourite skin protectors that I look for – Resveratrol –  and Vinefirin, which is found in vine sap. It is very expensive at £90 and I was kindly sent this as a PR sample. Even at this price though, I have recommended it to friends and family because I see results with a brighter, plumper complexion. It just feels very luxurious, cooling and soothing on the skin and you only need a few drops. It lasts for ages and when I run out, it’s going on my birthday wish list (start saving Stressed Husband!)

The fact that this product was recently named Harper’s Bazaar Magazine’s Best of the Best for mature skin, is a great accolade – and proof that I’m not the only one that wants to kiss it’s rose gold, smooth bottle every day (Oh. Actually, maybe I am the only one that does that.) You can find out more about the serum here.

BREAKING NEWS: I’ve just been told that there’s a free Firming Heroes Kit when you spend £55 on the website. The kit contains 1 x 10ml Resveratrol (Lift) Firming Serum and 1 x 5ml Resveratrol (Lift) Eye Lifting Balm – sounds good to me! You can find the offer details clicking here.

Next up is a new and exciting find! When I came across LJ Natural Skincare on Instagram, I was immediately drawn to the products and the passion behind their founder, Lisa, who started this business out of need to calm and cure the severe eczema that she’s suffered from all her life. Being a beauty junkie meant sore skin flare-ups were a nightmare for Lisa when she went shopping for products, so she had to do something about it – make her own! And me and the rest of LJ Natural fans are really glad she did. Lisa originally worked in sales and marketing but went on to retrain as an Aromatherapist and now, she hand makes beautiful, wonderfully scented batches of natural, organic products that are as kind to the environment as they are to sensitive skins.

I can’t get enough of the OMG Face Serum (which, by the way, stands for Organic Miracle Goddess Serum – so of course this would be my number one product of choice to try!) It is a sunny yellow blend of skin nourishing goodies – here are just a few of the hero ingredients: Organic oils – Rosehip and Avocado and Mango and Shea Butters. It’s a wonderful combination of natural super antioxidants, anti-ageing vitamins and essential fatty acids to help rejuvenate and protect all skin types. It’s great value at £18.95 and, I must admit, I tend to go a bit crazy and use it everywhere – from face, hands, neck, feet and because the formula is so gentle, it can also be used for hydrating and plumping up lines around the eyes. Although it’s a serum and following beauty rules, a moisturiser should get layered after your serum, I find OMG’s formula rich enough to forego moisturiser.

If you are a fan of clean, fresh, natural skincare, I would definitely check out LJ Naturals products. Have a read of the website here.

Just to let you know, that both of these serums are award-winning and I can see why (note: Me clutching my super serums in main picture with cheesy smile!)
